Shiori Matsumoto is Asia Communications and Research Officer for SteelWatch. She has over five years of experience in media and public relations in various fields including private sector, public institution, and environmental INGO. Her career background is international cooperation and she has been involved in overseas work in the Republic of Fiji, the Republic of South Sudan, and Colombia.

After studying development economics for her undergraduate degree in Keio University (Japan), she got master’s degree in Global Politics in Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) and Environment, Development and Peace in University for Peace (Costa Rica) through Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship programme (Nippon Foundation).

I’m driven by the voices of people from the other side of the planet, of nature who really doesn’t talk, and of my heart which seeks for social justice.
