Sam has been involved in environmental campaigning since 2000, when he began working with Greenpeace UK on a project showcasing sustainable industry solutions. Since then, he has built a career spanning over two decades across multiple continents, tackling some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.

He has led investigations, operations, and strategy on issues ranging from fossil fuels and plastics, to industrial agriculture, unconventional oil production, offshore gas, coal, and more. Much of Sam’s work has focused on corporate accountability and the global supply chains driving environmental destruction, with a particular emphasis on deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon.

Sam combines deep experience in field operations, investigations and risk with strategic research, policy insight, and an ability to connect complex data to clear campaign narratives. Sam believes in taking action to industries accountable for their climate impacts and supporting movements that challenge corporate power and accelerate a just transition.
