Ayumi Fukakusa is a climate change and energy campaigner with more than 10 years experience. She joined Friends of the Earth (FoE) Japan as a student intern in 2012 where she worked intensively in anti-nuclear advocacy. In 2016 she became a full-time staff member. Her work includes research and advocacy on climate change, nuclear power export, and fossil fuel financing by the Japanese public and private sectors. In 2025 she was promoted to the position of Executive Director of FoE Japan.
