Annabel is a communications strategist driven by campaigning instincts, with close to a decade of experience in NGO advocacy using narrative and strategy to hold powerful actors to account on climate, human rights, and economic justice.
Before joining SteelWatch, she spent three years as Strategic Communications Coordinator at Resource Justice Network, leading communications across campaigns focused on extractive industries and energy justice. Prior to that, she held communications and campaigning roles across a range of organisations working on human rights, international development, and social justice, building deep experience in advocacy communications across diverse global contexts and movements. She has lived and worked in the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Palestine, and Spain, bringing an international perspective shaped by direct experience of the issues she campaigns on.
Passionate about justice, equality, and driving meaningful change, Annabel believes that how we tell stories about power and accountability shapes what becomes possible. At SteelWatch, she brings this conviction to the fight for a global transformation of the steel industry.
When not at her desk, Annabel relaxes by salsa dancing and being in nature, especially swimming in waterfalls and rivers – the colder the better!
